MDAMP is an independent registered charity which has been helping the community for nearly 50 years, since 1976.

MDAMP funds, insures and trains a Chartered Physiotherapist, who is directly employed by MDAMP and MDAMP supplies a van for the Physiotherapist to make home visits and thus enables patients to be treated in their own homes rather than being hospitalised. Our Physiotherapist covers a large area from Wirksworth to Brailsford, Hulland Ward and the wider area of Ashbourne. All patient treatments must come from their GP, who will refer them to the Community Rehabilitation Team at St. Oswald’s Hospital, Ashbourne. The Physiotherapist works totally under the auspices of the NHS Community Rehabilitation Team.

 

MDAMP has a contract with the NHS to supply Physiotherapy Services. This contract covers all the employment costs of the Physiotherapist. All other costs have to be covered by fund raising activities, donations and investment income.
